LWSC U10 red girls played in the Back to School Classic in Elgin, IL.  They did a great job working as a team and demonstrating sportsmanship.  These talent and these two attributes helped them overtake the competition each game.  They only allowed 2 points the entire tournament. They were able to squash the competition  winning all four games and receiving the coveted first place trophies and title of undefeated CHAMPIONS!

The U17 Red Girls team competed in the "Back-to-School Classic" in Elgin this past weekend and brought home the Championship in their Division!

Fought hard, through extreme heat and humidity on Saturday, the girls finished the day 1-0-1.

With a 7:00 a.m. game slated for Sunday, the dedicated LWSC players, showed their opponent who's boss with a 1-0 win and were headed for the championship at noon!  But, before that, EVERYONE needed a nap!

This group of high school girls had one thing on their mind come 12:00 - HAVING FUN!  Oh, yes, and winning!

The same team they had tied on Saturday from Midwest Soccer Club, played a hard-fought game, but Lincoln-Way prevailed and took home the Championship with a tournament record of 3-0-1.

Congratulations U17 Red Girls!  You deserve it!

PostHeaderIcon Looking for Team Beat Reporters

Not everyone can make it to every game that LWSC players are involved in.  So we are looking to bring the story to those that might be interested in knowing how a certain team is doing from game to game, season to season.

If you are that person, that likes to write and would love to participate, please contact Tony Kustwan @ This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , for more information.
